General

- Whatever you are wearing must have the same coverage area as a properly fitted bathing suit. The fabric must be opaque (not see-through) and obstruct the underlying features. If you are unsure if your garment may move, we suggest the use of double-stick tape, pasties/nipple guards, or the use of an opaque nude-colored undergarment. If definition is seen in the groin area, we recommend the use of dance belts, cups, or layered undergarments. The bottoms of your feet must be covered at all times.
- If any part of your outfit does not fit our dress code, you will be approached by a member of our con safety staff, in red or yellow staff shirts, and politely asked to cover the area in question, or go back to your room to change into a more appropriate garment. If you find you are having a garment malfunction we have a fully staffed Cosplay Repair Station for you to repair the garment.
- Clothing and accessories showing “ahegao” faces (lewd or sexual facial expressions) are not permitted to be worn or displayed by attendees of AnimeNEXT. Ahegao items may be purchased in the Exhibits Hall, but must be put in a solid, non-transparent bag to carry around the convention, until they are able to be put in an attendee’s car, home or hotel room.
